Interested in LASA2027?

Follow-up Panels for the Congress in Mexico

To have your panel considered, select “Yes” in the option “I would like to continue the discussion of my proposal at the LASA2027 Congress in Mexico” when submitting your panel.

When submitting your proposal to the Costa Rica Regional Symposium, you may indicate whether you are interested in having this panel considered as a “Follow-up” in order to continue the conversation at the LASA2027 International Congress, to be held in Mexico at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Selecting this option only expresses interest and helps identify proposals with potential for continuity. It does not imply automatic acceptance or a guaranteed slot, but these proposals will be given priority in the evaluation ranking.

All proposals, including those marked as “Follow-up”, will be evaluated by the Track Chairs using the same quality criteria as all other submissions. At the end of the evaluation and ranking period, a list of “Follow-up” sessions will be generated for review by the LASA2027 Program Chairs, who may, when possible, give priority to the continuity of the conversation between panels in the aforementioned ranking.

Submitting a “Follow-up” proposal and registering for the Symposium are separate from the LASA2027 Congress process and, therefore, do not replace the proposal submission or registration required for LASA2027. Any follow-up proposal will be subject to the Congress’s rules, capacity limits, fees, and deadlines.
