A regional symposium of the Latin American Studies Association
Submitting a proposal to LASA Central America 2026 is free of charge.
If you have an active LASA membership, please use your existing LASA member account (member ID and password) to access the submission system.
If you have never been a LASA member or your membership has expired, you may choose to join or renew your LASA membership in order to submit a proposal and enjoy the full benefits of LASA membership. Alternatively, you may create or switch to a Friend of LASA account. This is a complimentary, non-member account that allows you to submit a proposal to this event.
Please note that having an account—either an active LASA membership or a Friend of LASA account—is required in order to submit a proposal, receive notification of acceptance or rejection, and receive further updates about the Symposium.
Once your proposal has been accepted, you must complete the registration to participate.
Friends of LASA is a complimentary, non-member account that allows individuals to submit proposals to LASA Continental Congresses and Regional Symposiums.
Please note that this category does not include the benefits of LASA membership, such as eligibility to participate in the LASA2026 Congress, which will be held exclusively in person in Paris, France, or the LASA2027 Congress in Mexico.
